I’ve written up some dissertation writing tips that you may find useful.
The table below gives the schedule of presentations for the MSc dissertation seminar being held during May 2012.
Sessions are in the IIIS seminar room. Monday slots are 11am-1pm. Wednesday slots are 2-4pm.
Presenters have 10-15 minutes to present an overview of their dissertation project. It is expected to be work in progress and the presentation should aim to provide the group with enough information that they can then provide constructive comments during the discussion afterwards. You should send me a 2-3 page summary or outline of what you plan to present 24 hours before the seminar.
Commenters will receive a copy of one of the presentation outlines 24 hours before the seminar. They will then be called upon at the start of the discussion of the relevant presentation to provide at least one constructive comment based on their reading and/or impressions from the presentation.
